Institutional Journey
On 15th August, when British India saw the dawn of freedom, Saurashtra was still developing. Jamnagar, one of the 202 native states, lacked proper educational facilities, and the spread of education became a central mission of the newly formed state.
Late Shri Kantilal P. Shah, along with other prominent citizens, established Shri Vidyottejak Mandal in 1953 to promote education and build institutions for learners across age groups.
Law education began in 1963 under M.P. Shah Commerce College. A separate law college was later established and named K.P. Shah Law College in 1988.
Today, the college has produced over 5,000 legal professionals and continues to serve a student body of around 600 learners.
